Sorry Jake, our Mistake!

daschle revealed The Pavo News would like to rectify what we feel was an unintended injustice. We refer to our article titled, 'Daschle Supporter found in SD'. The article featured Jake, an unemployed actor of limited fame, whom we found to be the only Tom Daschle supporter along our route, earlier this year, through South Dakota. Jake, a jackass whose likeness (quite appropriately) has been adopted by the Democratic Party, was reluctant to speak at the time of our meeting. Due to Jake's demeanor and hesitance to answer questions presented to him at that time, we rashly made a comparison of Jake to Tom Daschle.

After November's historic Republican victory in Congress, Tom Daschle and the Democratic Party found themselves floundering in a sea of disbelief. Apparently, Mr. Daschle's bewilderment, led him down a path of paranoia and, quite frankly, puerile behavior. Daschle, failing to recognize the Democrat's inability to form a cohesive political agenda, lashed out at Rush Limbaugh and talk radio in general. Presumably, the open exchange of views and public discourse (AKA - freedom of speech) present a threat to Mr. Daschle and the Democratic Party. Senator Daschle's behavior, in defeat, reflects more the response of a six-year-old than that of a senior representative of the people.

In light of the Senators behavior and remarks, we retract our past conclusions, recognize Jake to be the mule that he is and proclaim there is only one true jackass from South Dakota! Jake, please except our most sincere apology.
