Baldwin Watch

alec baldwinAt a recent Minnesota Democratic-Farm-Labor Party fund raiser, Mr. Baldwin was greeted by the now familiar round of boo's. It seems a number of dairy farmers are not pleased with Baldwin's long standing ties to PETA and the group's campaign to outlaw milk production. Once again Baldwin demonstrates his uncanny ability to have his fingers on the pulse of America. Now that the republicans control Congress and the Whitehouse, we are hoping that Alec will finally keep his promise and leave the US.

Earlier this month, another group of Hollywood limousine liberals, sent a letter to the Whitehouse voicing their opposition to the Bush administrations handling of the Iraqi crisis. Others took part in more than 120 anti-war vigils, acts of civil disobedience and marches in 37 states. Hollywood bad boy and sometimes actor, Sean Penn, paid a visit to Baghdad and was surprised to learn his trip had been used as anti-American propaganda by the Iraqi regime. Live and learn, Mr. Penn; something you have not done well in the past.

Ho-Hum! I am getting pretty disgusted with the multi-million dollar leftist Hollywood crowd. It is time for them to put up or shut up. Since the Tinsel-town pacifists are so keen on giving advice, it's time they took some. I would suggest that all these pompous performers willingly divest themselves of one-half their staggering wealth and distribute it to the needy, as they see fit. I realize that some may have to sacrifice. Certain artists will have to relocate from larger dwellings to smaller 40 room mansions, give up one of the Rolls-Royces, dine at unfashionable restaurants, do with a smaller cadre of domestic help, sell two or three summer "homes" and forgo leisure's unknown to us common folk. Is it too much to ask? These people will gladly attach their names to a cause and then claim they have done something noble. They have done nothing but use their celebrity to obtain money from other caring individuals. It is time they led the way through action and not words. I am only asking for one-half of their current wealth, they are free to handle future earnings as they choose.

Once these self-indulgent hypocrites have shown they are willing to sacrifice and help their neighbors, perhaps we will be inclined to listen on other matters. Until then, shut up!
