America Has Spoken

Bush defeats Kerry    Well readers, what did you think of the election? Are you thankful it has finally ended? Has it really ended? In Ohio, we have a frivolous recount that will cost taxpayers at least 1.5 million dollars, something this economically challenged state can ill-afford. I guess it is a form of payback since there are many people angered because their attempts to corrupt the Ohio voting process ended in failure. Whatever the facts, the election process has ended and the American people have spoken. The winners are George Bush, the American people and the Republican Party (which picked up a rare second term majority of congressional seats). For the losers, it should be a time of reflection and repentance. Now is the time for the Democratic Party to make some serious changes and reevaluate their parties core beliefs; which have proven to be contradictory to the spirit of the American character. Will this happen? I have not seen or heard anything that would convince me of the possibility.

As the party members and media pundits scramble to fabricate a palpable excuse for the Democrats significant election defeat, I have contentedly wallowed in the intoxication of victory. Here are a number highlights I would like to share:

After the fierce Presidential campaign battle, Kerry was sent packing back to The Peoples Republic of Massachusetts without so much as a purple heart to his credit. Kerry's ship has gone down, all hands lost.

Senate minority leader and obstructionist extraordinaire, Tom Daschle, became the first senate leader, in a half century, to lose re-election - and that, my friends, is not the icing on the cake, it is the cake!

Convicted inside trader, purveyor of financial ruin and self-appointed demigod, George Soros, squandered at least 28 million dollars in an attempt to buy and control the reins of American government through the appointment of his unwitting (maybe?) lapdog, John Kerry. By my estimation, that amount of money would be more than sufficient to feed 6000 families of four for a full year. So, Georgie Boy, put your money where their mouths are next time!

Michael Moore-on was so upset over the election results, he took to his bed for three days. Undoubtedly, not before ordering a wheel of imported French cheese (fromage du libéral) the perfect compliment to his bold and recurrent whine.
This past month has also brought about another event, unrelated to our election - the welcomed death of Yasser Arafat. Lucifer has a new playmate. May the Ringo Starr look-alike Palestinian cutthroat boil in the fetid fat of a thousand camels for all eternity.

Tossing levity to the side, we must acknowledge the true success of American politics demands well founded debate, rational alternatives and competent divergent parties. It is imperative that the Democratic Party purge its present leadership, sever all ties with the radical-progressive left and regard the voices of reason within the floundering party (i.e. Sen. Joe Lieberman or Sen. Zell Miller).

Until then, I'll continue to enjoy the Democrats frenzied distress.
